Almirall would like to present Nina, a 3-episode mini-serie created to raise awareness of the real struggles that people living with psoriasis have to go through , showing the impact it has on their lives beyond the skin, seriously affecting their mental health and emotional wellbeing^1-2.

Synopsis

Nina is a rather special, up-and-coming fashion designer. She is shy, enigmatic and introverted. Her designs reflect a very personal world, full of mystery and darkness. Psoriasis forms the foundations of her character and her attitude, which she tries to hide from others and from herself.

She meets Marco during a photo session. He is a model and is not intimidated by her attitude, and his self-confidence, spontaneity and positive outlook attracts Nina's attention. Marco gets close to her and discovers her secret. The pressure from her environment, her psoriasis, the zeal with which she protects her world, her obsessions, and her inevitable attraction towards Marco… are overwhelming.

From darkness and depression, to personal growth and light. A long journey, full of obstacles and lessons in which Nina, despite the unconditional support of her father and her dermatologist, can only begin if she trusts and opens her heart and her mind to a new life.

Secrets… are everywhere, much more than we think… and Nina isn't the only one who has one. The enigmatic Nina is a rather special budding fashion designer and the psoriasis she hides makes her seem difficult and inaccessible. But something unexpected will happen in Nina's life and nothing will ever be the same again...

The pressure of her surroundings, her uncontrolled psoriasis... her determination to protect her world, her obsessions, her unavoidable attraction to Marco... will it all be too much for Nina?

The calm comes after the storm. But there is sometimes a long journey ahead, a journey full of struggles, as well as learnings and acceptance. It's time for Nina to shed her skin. And that will only be possible if she lets herself receive help, opening her heart and her mind for a chance to a new life.
